Job description
Location: Eindhoven – Campus of Eindhoven University of Technology
Hours per week: Full-time (40 hours)
Education Level: HBO or Academic degree, preferably in Computer Science
Are you a tech-savvy C#/.NET developer eager to make a real impact? Do you want to build software that makes a difference - in industries like Healthcare, Education, and Tech—while mentoring others and honing your skills in a collaborative team environment? If that sounds like you, join the Pack as our next Senior Backend Developer.
What you’ll do
As a Senior Backend Developer, you’ll be part of a cross-functional Scrum team (we call them "Packs"), working alongside fellow developers, Product Owners, and UX Designers. You'll contribute to delivering high-quality backend solutions and play a key role in technical direction and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
Your responsibilities include:
Taking technical ownership of backend projects, from architecture to delivery
Writing clean, maintainable, and tested code in C#/.NET;
Collaborating closely with Tech Leads, POs, and UX Designers to define features and technical direction;
Mentoring junior developers and supporting them through Pair Programming and Code Reviews;
Assisting with architectural decisions, project setup, QA strategies etc;
Communicating directly with clients to understand needs and deliver tailor-made solutions;
Assist the Tech Lead in introducing and implementing best practices in Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and quality assurance;
Minimizing unnecessary meetings - we focus on building software, not bureaucracy.
What you tell your friends you do:
“I'm part of a cross-functional team that builds custom software for a wide range of clients. As a Senior Developer, I collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Tech Lead, and UX Designer to help shape new projects from the ground up. While I spend most of my time writing code, I also really enjoy Pair Programming sessions and supporting my teammates' growth. When someone hits a roadblock, I’m often the person they turn to for a fresh perspective or advice - I like helping us all stay on track and deliver value smoothly.
What makes our work especially rewarding is that it’s not just technically solid - it actually makes a difference in people’s lives. Some of our products are used in pharmacies to help serve patients more quickly and accurately. Others are used in high schools, helping kids learn grammar in a way that’s more engaging and effective. That kind of impact is what really keeps me motivated.
What really matters for me is a team spirit and true Pack mentality. We have many fun company events and outstanding culture. And yes, no Friday is complete without a bottle of our in-house beer.”
What we’re looking for
You are someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in writing great code. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and taking ownership of your work. You’re not just a developer - you’re a problem solver, a mentor, and a team player.
Job requirements
Requirements:
6+ years of hands-on software development experience with C#/.NET, with a strong focus on backend;
Experience mentoring team members and providing technical guidance;
A solid understanding of software architecture, Clean Code principles, and automated testing;
An Agile mindset and experience working in Scrum teams;
Strong communication skills with the ability to balance technical and business needs;
You stay up-to-date on the latest Azure services, such as: Cosmos D.B., Application Insights, Data factory etc;
Strong knowledge of Git, how to configure a deployment pipeline, and enforce coding best practices on pull requests;
A proactive attitude and eagerness to continuously learn and improve.
