Are you enthusiastic about data and how to manage that properly in complex software landscapes? Join our team of like-minded enthusiasts to take our Wolfpack projects to the next level!
What you tell your friends you do:
“As a Data engineer I am part of the development team and help clients with managing their data, so they can get the most business value out of it. To do this, I use my existing knowledge, but also keep up to date with new technologies, so I can always advise and build the best future proof solution. I start my day with the daily stand-up. In the morning I have a call with a stakeholder to discuss how the funnel report indicates our areas of focus. In the afternoon, I formulate a plan on how to aggregate the right data for a KPI dashboard for a major project. Afterwards, I explain to a new colleague how we utilize our event bus, and finally, I grab a beer and calling it a day!
A big advantage of working at Wolfpack is that I work on a customer project, from start to finish. This makes me feel responsible together with my team. Sometimes things are not always according to plan, in that case we handle it as a team - order a pizza- and finish the release. It gives me energy when the customer is happy with the release and gives us a compliment!
But wait… what does that mean, day-to-day?
In the morning standup, you work together with your enthusiastic colleagues on how to achieve the sprint goal for the week.
You design, build, configure and deploy data platforms which are scalable, reliable, efficient and of high quality.
You use an event bus to connect various systems, such as databases, third-party SDKs, and APIs.
You work on monitoring and data-insights to further optimize the customer’s process, with for example Looker Studio or Grafana.
Job requirements
What the pack needs from you:
You view the world through data structures and enjoy optimizing processes.
You have a minimum of two years of experience as a data engineer or a similar role;
You have the ability to envision the future in collaboration with the client, you identify and suggest ways to improve the product.
Preferably, you have experience in working with Kubernetes and/or Docker;
You enjoy working with a team, but can also work independently, structured and with high quality standards.
Other Data Engineering experience is a plus, you know how data flows between different systems (data visualization, efficiency and optimization of data flows, data models and data mining, database design, SQL) and are familiar with ETL.
