Job description

  • Location: Eindhoven – Campus of Eindhoven University of Technology

  • Hours per week: Full-time (40 hours)

  • Education Level: HBO or Academic degree in Computer Science

Are you a C#/.NET enthusiasts eager to make a real impact? Do you want to build software that makes a difference - in industries like Healthcare, Education, and Tech - while providing the team with technical guidance and growing further your own skills in a collaborative team environment? If that sounds like you, join the Pack as our next Medior Backend Developer.

What you’ll do

As a Medior Backend Developer, you’ll be part of a cross-functional Scrum team (we call them "Packs"), working alongside fellow developers, Product Owners, and UX Designers. You'll contribute to delivering high-quality backend solutions and provide guidance to your junior colleagues. You will be involved in different stages of delivering projects and will be able to learn a lot, both hands on and from your more experienced colleagues.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code in C#/.NET;

  • Delivering high quality code and reviewing & testing the code of your team mates;

  • Collaborating closely with other developers and the Tech Lead in order to deliver sophisticated technical solutions to our clients;

  • You understand business needs and are capable to translate them into technical solutions;

  • You are a team player and share our core values - we are a Pack of Hungry Creators;

  • You are curious to learn new technologies and adopt best practices. You are happy to receive feedback from your senior colleagues and to help out Juniors;

  • You want to focus on building software, not bureaucracy.

What you tell your friends you do:

My team builds custom software for different clients. As a Medior Developer, I’m involved in designing and building features, usually working closely with senior teammates, the Product Owner, and the UX Designer. We work on a variety of projects with different stakeholders, which means I get to learn a lot - from adapting to new domains to exploring different technical approaches.

Over time, I’ve started to take more ownership, both in the codebase and within the team. I also enjoy supporting junior colleagues when they need help - whether it’s reviewing their code, pair programming, or just being there to bounce ideas off. It’s been great to grow into that mentoring role.

What makes the job even more meaningful is the impact of the software we build. Some of our projects are used in pharmacies to help serve patients more efficiently, while others are used in schools to make learning grammar more fun and accessible. It’s great knowing that the code I write is helping real people in their everyday lives.”

What are we looking for

You’re a committed team player who’s eager to keep growing and make a real impact through well-crafted code. You enjoy tackling challenging tasks and thrive on the variety that different projects bring. With solid experience under your belt, you’re happy to support junior colleagues while also pushing yourself to dive deeper into complex concepts and the full software development process.

Job requirements

  • 3+ years of software development experience with a solid background in backend development, specifically with C#/.NET;

  • You have experience with cloud solutions (preferably in Azure) and you have affinity with Data Engineering;

  • A good understanding of software architecture, Clean Code principles, and automated testing;

  • You are familiar with Git, know how to configure a deployment pipeline, and enforce coding best practices on pull requests.

  • You are happy to work on a diverse team. You are willing to learn from Seniors and to pass over your knowledge to the Juniors.

  • You ask the right questions and balance expectations, so that quality is never compromised for the sake of only fulfilling requirements;

  • You readily sink your teeth in anything that will make you grow and aid your teammates’ knowledge;

  • You have experience working with Scrum.
