Job description

Location: Eindhoven, op de campus van de Technische Universiteit Eindhoven

Hours per week: Full-time [36-40h]

Think and work level: HBO or Academic | Computer Science

As a Medior Full Stack developer you are part of the Development team and you work closely with other developers, the Scrum Master and the Product Owner, ensuring a continuous and timely delivery of qualitative solutions. You enjoy working on all layers of the application, from optimizing the database to tweaking an animation. In addition, you will act as the go-to person for development advice and technical guidance of junior developers in your team.

What you tell your friends you do:

A big advantage of working at Wolfpack is that I work on a customer project, from start to finish. This makes me feel responsible together with my team. Sometimes things are not always according to plan, in that case we handle it as a team - order a pizza - and finish the release. It gives me energy when the customer is happy with the release and gives us a compliment!

“As a fullstack developer, I am involved in various projects and switch between them regularly. My role not only involves hands-on involvement in projects, but also knowledge sharing and supporting the development of my colleagues. In the morning I am working on building an application, with which pupils can learn words in a playful way. In the afternoon I have a technical meeting about our remote experiment software for students, where we discuss how we can best set up external communication. I also spend a lot of time working with customers and potential customers to help them as best as possible. When this is all done, I like to end my day with a beer with the rest of my team.”

But wait… what does that mean, day-to-day?

  • You spar with other developers about the technical direction and delivery of the project, but the UX/UI designers also know where to find you to test their designs;

  • You offer help to fellow developers where necessary.

  • You help potential customers provide a technical solution to solve their challenges;

  • You proactively look for customer improvements.

  • You help ensure the quality of the project and facilitate QA within the team;

  • You work closely with other developers, the Scrum Master and Product Owner;

  • Develop, develop, develop, of course!

Job requirements

What the pack needs from you:

  • 3+ years of experience in software development with a solid background in backend development (preferably experience with REST APIs, but also firebase/firestore + cloud functions) and frontend development (preferably Flutter and/or VueJS, but ultimately what matters to us is your conceptual knowledge);

  • Experience with SQL and noSQL databases;

  • You are not afraid to profile yourself and dare to make your opinion heard. You are always eager to share your insights and guide your colleagues, especially at a hands-on technical level;

  • You ask the right questions and balance expectations, so that quality is never compromised just to meet requirements;

  • You enjoy working on different, challenging projects;

  • You are a real go-getter and do not shy away from complex problems;

  • Experience with daily stand-ups, refinements, planning, and retrospectives is a plus;

  • You have knowledge of Git.
